Dedham residents can cast ballots starting Saturday, Oct. 17, nearly three weeks before the Tuesday, Nov. 3 state election.
In-person early voting runs through Friday, Oct. 30 at Dedham Town Hall, 450 Washington St., in Meeting Room 304 on the third floor. The Town of Dedham posted the schedule on X Tuesday, Oct. 6. No voting is available on Sundays, Oct. 18 or Oct. 25.
Hours vary by day. Wednesdays, Oct. 21 and Oct. 28, offer the longest windows, 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24, run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, run 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. All other weekdays run 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Key deadlines
Voter registration closes Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. The Town Clerk's Office will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day for last-minute registrations.
Vote-by-mail applications are due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Mail-in ballots must reach Town Hall by 8 p.m. on Election Day, whether returned by mail, in person or through the drop box at the rear entrance to Town Hall. Ballots cannot be dropped off at polling places on Election Day.
Residents marked "inactive" on voter rolls are still registered but must show a valid ID to confirm residency when they arrive.
What's on the ballot
The Nov. 3 ballot carries nine statewide questions, according to the sample ballot posted by the Town Clerk's Office. Questions include opening legislative records to the public, allowing same-day voter registration and repealing legalized recreational marijuana sales.
Contested races include U.S. Senator, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Auditor, Representative in Congress for the 8th District, and Norfolk District Attorney. The DA race features Democrat Djuna Elizabeth Perkins of Dedham against unenrolled candidate Joseph Michael Pagliarulo of Millis.
