Dover-Sherborn beat Dedham High 6-1 in the Marauders' Tri-Valley League field hockey season opener on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead by the end of the first quarter, according to score updates posted by Dedham High athletics on X. Dover-Sherborn added four more goals over the final three periods while Dedham managed one in reply.

Both teams compete in the Tri-Valley League, a 12-school conference spanning towns west and south of Boston. The loss drops Dedham to 0-1 in TVL play.

Emma Peck, who was identified as the field hockey coach in a September 2025 Dedham Mirror Q&A, said at the time that her favorite part of coaching was "seeing what we work on in practice work on the field." Her role for the 2026 season has not been confirmed.

Dedham opened fall tryouts on Aug. 24. The team's next opponent and game date were not available as of publication.
