Needham's Climate Action Committee will review the final report on its Low Impact Development parking requirements study when it meets Monday, August 3, at 6 p.m. in the Charles River Room at the Public Service Administration Building, 500 Dedham Ave.
The LID study examines how the town can reduce stormwater runoff from parking areas. The town received a $45,000 grant to fund consulting services for the review, according to the Needham sustainability office.
The agenda also includes an update on the $325.4 million Pollard Middle School building project, which must meet the town's all-electric construction requirements under Needham Bylaw Section 3.11. The School Building Committee approved the schematic design unanimously on June 8, according to the project's FAQ page, and a town-wide ballot question on funding is set for November 2026.
Other items: an EV Working Group update, early planning for an October Harvest Fair and a December heat pump event, and a review of the Sustainability Manager's Report.
The session is the committee's first since June 1.
