The Needham Free Public Library's Highland Avenue parking lot will be closed Thursday, July 23, through Saturday, July 25, for seal coating and line painting, the Town of Needham announced in a civic alert Monday, July 20. The closure is weather permitting.

Patrons can park in the library's Rosemary Street lot or the Memorial Field House lot during the three-day closure. The library, at 1139 Highland Ave., remains open on its regular schedule.

The town noted that several community events taking place the same weekend may further reduce parking in the area. The Rotary Club of Needham Carnival runs Thursday, July 23, through Sunday, July 26, at Needham High School, 609 Webster St., with gates opening at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

The town encouraged library visitors to plan ahead and allow extra time for parking.
