The Dedham Fire Department is opening its doors Saturday, Oct. 10, for a free family open house at the Public Safety Building, 26 Bryant St.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visitors can tour fire trucks, meet firefighters and pick up educational materials on fire safety, the Town of Dedham said on X. Food will be provided.
The open house falls on the final day of National Fire Prevention Week, which runs Oct. 4–10. The National Fire Protection Association chose the theme "Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower," focused on lithium-ion battery charging safety.
The event is free. The Dedham Police Department, which shares the Bryant Street building, also promoted the open house on social media. Residents with questions can call the Dedham Fire Department at (781) 751-9400.
