Dedham residents looking to squeeze the last out of summer have a packed week of free events ahead, starting with the Dedham Square Circle's Concerts on the Green on Tuesday, Aug. 18, and running through a foam-and-ice-cream blowout at the library on Friday, Aug. 21.
The concert series brings live music to Dedham Town Green at 600 High St. every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The series launched June 9 and runs through Sept. 1, according to the Dedham Drop newsletter, which cited the Dedham Square Circle's Instagram. That means only three Tuesday concerts remain after this week's show. No performer has been announced for the Aug. 18 date.
All events are free.
The Dedham Public Library is stacking its own calendar alongside the concerts. Here's what's scheduled at both branches this week, according to the library's events page:
Tuesday, Aug. 18
- Baby & Toddler Time, 9:30 a.m., Main Library
- Preschool Storytime, 10:30 a.m., Main Library Children's Room
- Dinosaurs and Desserts (read-aloud for 1st–3rd graders), 5–6 p.m., Main Library Children's Room
Wednesday, Aug. 19
- Baby & Me Storytime, 9:30 a.m., Endicott Branch Children's Area (257 Mount Vernon St.)
- Sing-Along Storytime, 10:30 a.m., Endicott Branch Children's Area
- Tie-Dye Fun in the Sun, 3–4 p.m., Endicott Branch Back Lawn
For the tie-dye event, the library asks participants to bring a white cotton pillowcase, t-shirt or pair of socks. All other supplies are provided.
Friday, Aug. 21
- Foam Party and Summer Reading Wrap-Up with Ice Cream, Endicott Branch Back Lawn. Two sessions: 5:30–6 p.m. (ages 0 through Grade 5) and 6–6:30 p.m. (Grade 6 through adult). Registration is required. Ice cream is provided by Donahue Real Estate Co.
The foam party marks the end of the library's 2026 Summer Reading Program, themed "Unearth a Story." Saturday, Aug. 22, is the last day to collect prizes and enter the Grand Prize Drawing at the Main Library, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Dedham Summer Farmers Market continues Wednesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. on the First Church lawn at 670 High St., just up the road from the Town Green. The market runs through Oct. 14.
